Tray 2.2 Series는 소재를 바꾸기보다 형태를 통해 스틸을 새롭게 인식하는 방식을 탐구한 프로젝트입니다. 나뭇잎을 단순화한 형태는 소재보다 형태를 먼저 인식하도록 유도하며, 완만하게 기울어진 표면은 물건을 자연스럽게 중심으로 모읍니다. 플로팅 구조는 금속 특유의 묵직한 인상을 덜어내며 보다 가볍고 부드러운 존재감을 만들어냅니다. 작은 형태의 변화가 익숙한 소재를 바라보는 방식을 바꿀 수 있다는 가능성을 제안하며, 소재와 형태, 그리고 일상 사이의 관계를 새롭게 해석한 작업입니다.

Tray 2.2 Series explores a quieter perception of steel through form rather than material. Inspired by the simplified shape of a leaf, the tray softens the familiar impression of steel by encouraging the eye to recognize its form before its material. The gently sloping surface gathers objects naturally toward the center, while the floating structure gives the object a lighter visual presence. The project proposes a more subtle relationship between material, form, and everyday use, suggesting that small changes in design can reshape the way familiar materials are perceived.
